Problem: The modern supply chain must evolve to meet environmental and consumer demands nationwide, and supply chain managers need to plan ahead to keep everything flowing smoothly. A combination of consumer expectations, routes to market, international complexities, and other factors creates significant challenges throughout Lowe’s supply chain network.
Solution: Designing tools for users from varying corporate levels, all working to improve the consumer and user experience. Supply Chain Planners are provided a Command Center and Inventory Replenishment interface. Regional Distribution Centers track visual merchandising specifications through Time-Phased presentation management dashboards.
Design Process
Iterative stages from conceptualization to low-fidelity sketches,
proceeding to user testing and business feedback,
then high-fidelity wireframes and development handoff.

Supply chain planners set default or temporary override values for store inventory based on regional need.
Users input data for regional distribution centers to service stores nationwide.
Users can monitor existing inventory at assigned distribution centers,
leave feedback and comments for planners and inventory managers,
propose next steps and make necessary adjustments during surges
such as times of emergency and/or natural disasters.
